Our staff can help you navigate the world of tax credits, incentives and training opportunities.
We are happy to introduce three hiring incentive programs that may be of interest to you and help your bottom line..
Work Opportunity Tax Credits
Qualifying businesses that hire people from 12 targeted groups which have faced employment challenges can access the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC). This federal tax credit is an incentive, which is designed to help specific groups of people find employment, achieve self-sufficiency and cut employer income tax liability. Target groups for the WOTC include:
- Recipients of certain types of public assistance
- Those who have completed/will soon complete rehabilitative programs
For each new hire that starts by August 31, 2011, the maximum credit available under WOTC is $9,000. Previous employees of the employer cannot be rehired through the WOTC program. Also, businesses may not receive the WOTC tax credit for a dependent or relative of the business owner.

Federal Bonding Program For Ex-Offenders
Consider hiring an ex-offender and giving them a second chance. To address some of your concerns and potential risks, this program provides a $ 5000 hiring incentive to employers who hire eligible ex-offenders.

On-the-Job Training (OJT) - You Hire, You Train, We Pay
Through OJT programs, employers may be reimbursed up to 50 percent of the wages earned by eligible new trainees while they learn the job. This funding compensates you for training workers in skills they need to help your business thrive.
